As everyone should be more than aware by now, GDPR, or the General Data Protection Regulations to give it its full title, is a new legal framework which comes into force across Europe on the 25th of May 2018. The general themes of GDPR are to improve the protection of individual’s personal data, to harmonise the laws across the European Union and to strengthen the legalisation imposing more obligations and potentially higher fines on Data Controllers and Data Processors.
We already had very strong processes and procedures in place to protect all your data. However, the changes we made in late 2017 by adding additional levels of auditing, especially around contact preferences, have further enhanced and improved the data integrity.
From our perspective we are confident that our services and products are fully compliant with the new regulations and that they provide you with the tools you need to monitor, report and audit the accuracy and completeness of the capture and usage of the relevant data and information.
Must stress though - just because we are compliant doesn’t necessarily make you ‘GDPR compliant’. We make it easier for you to comply but you must ensure that your own internal processes, procedures and systems are equally compliant.
This GDPR Overview guide summarises our position. Feel free to get in touch if you have any questions or need further information or advice.
