Another security layer to protect your data
From 4th July, we will be rolling out to our charity customers, Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) as an added security step when logging into CGHub to access your supporter data.
For almost all of us, we have been used to MFA to manage online banking, payments, logging into streaming services or for any online logins, so we hope you see this a positive and hopefully quick process when logging into your CGHub.
A few questions answered:
Q: What is Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)?
A: A security term that requires multiple methods of authentication from independent categories to verify the user's identity to be able to login or transact
Q: when I login to CGHub, i don't see MFA?
A: Not all clients will see this immediately. We are rolling this out and you will be contacted by your Account Manager when this is due to be switched on.
Q: Is there anything I need to do?
A: No. All current users in CGHub have an email address linked and this will be used to send the MFA code that needs to be entered to gain access
Q: Can I receive the code to my phone via SMS?
A: Not currently. It was important to us that we completed this first MFA phase and will be looking into SMS if that is something a lot of charity clients require.
If you would like MFA to be enabled more quickly on your account or have any questions, please do contact your Account Manager.
