Bank Holiday for the state funeral of HM The Queen
It was announced that an additional Bank Holiday to mark the State Funeral of Queen Elizabeth II will take place on Monday 19th September 2022.
Additional Bank Holiday Impact to your Direct Debit submissions
With most staff being off (subject to employers conditions) this Monday and the day being declared a Bank Holiday, you should consider what impacts this has to your Bacs processing.
Pay.uk confirmed on their website today* that their systems will follow bank holiday protocol and as such will operate a non-processing day on Monday 19th September 2022.
If you are submitting a Bacs file, you should now be aware of this new non-processing day and make alterations to your submissions.

|Thursday 15 September||Wednesday 14 September||Tuesday 13 September|
|Friday 16 September||Thursday 15 September||Wednesday 14 September|

If you have already submitted your Bacs payments with a submission date 19th September
Bacs have advised that there is no action required if you have already submitted your Direct Debit or Direct Credit files with a processing date of 19th September. Your payments will automatically be applied for the 20th September 2022.
If you are using CommittedGiving as your Bacs Approved Bureau, we have made the adjustments so all Direct Debits are processed correctly without any changes required by our charity clients.
Our office will be closed for business on the Monday as a mark of respect and day of mourning for the State funeral of our Queen, Elizabeth II.
