Virtual Gifts, your charity’s new fundraising tool

Kick Start Your Virtual Gifts

Whether your charity is new to Virtual Gifts or already has a Virtual Gift offering in place, now is the time to boost this additional fundraising tool with our end-to-end flexible solutions.

Many competitor platforms are simply a forced merger of their existing e-commerce and donation functionalities, leading to compromised performance. By contrast, our Virtual Gift offering was designed from scratch by our in-house experts to achieve optimal performance, to increase sign-up donations, maximise GiftAid, and to provide the best supporter experience.

We can create, build, and manage your virtual gift online page, and provide both an electronic and/or postal fulfilment service. Our flexible solutions mean that you can cherry pick the solutions you want, so you only pay for the support you really need.

What is a Virtual Gift and Why Now?

An example of a Virtual Gift could be buying a gift, such as a goat, from a charity’s Virtual Gifts webpages. Neither supporter nor recipient receives a goat of course, but they do receive confirmation that the gift has been made, with the funds raised enabling the charity to increase its charitable impact at the point of need.

Given the current cost of living crisis, Virtual Gifting can be a great alternative fundraising tool, empowering donors to still be able to donate to their favourite charity whilst solving their gifting needs – a win-win for both supporter and charity.

An added beauty of Virtual Gifts is that not only are they a strong value-exchange fundraising product, but they are also a great way of bringing the organisation’s work to life in a tangible, relevant and memorable way. Who could forget a goat being sent in their name as a gift?

Bespoke or Pick & Mix Virtual Gifts and Fulfilment Solutions

Imagine that your loyal supporter has just purchased several Virtual Gifts in one transaction to send to their friends and family for Christmas or birthdays, all on different dates.

The recipients could be located at multiple addresses. Some recipients may be receiving a physical gift as well as a virtual one; some may be receiving a digital message only; and some may be receiving a physical card. And they will each receive their gift, card, or ecard on the dates which your supporter scheduled when placing the order.

Sound complicated? For us, it’s not. Our flexible Virtual Gifts solutions can handle all aspects of this transaction. Our flexible solutions can be tailored to your specific needs, and you can pick and mix those aspects you want so that you only pay for what your charity needs.

We can even empower you to edit your Virtual Gift offerings at the simple touch of a button.

Our Virtual Gifts solutions also allow your supporters to add merchandise and products from your online shop into their shopping cart when they are buying their Virtual Gift, and we will then fulfil the whole order seamlessly and painlessly for you and your supporters.

Your charity could perhaps use this opportunity to link to their latest order catalogue; highlight seasonal offers; or offer new products. Many of our charity trading clients, for example, offer merchandise such as packs of Christmas cards during (or after) the Virtual Gifts transaction.

As well as managing the Virtual Gifts aspects, we can handle the fulfilment aspects of your Virtual Gifts offering. We will store, pick, pack and dispatch your Christmas card packs or other merchandise to multiple addresses, making the whole process painless for you and delivering a seamless supporter journey.
